Introduction

Matter is anything that occupies space and has mass and density is the compactness of an objects. Today we will learn what factors really play role in increasing density of matter.

Name of the matter Solid, liquid, and gas

Measure mass and volume and releate it to the density.

Factors affecting density

·         You have observed so many matters around you some are solids, some are liquid, and some are in the gases state as I told you the defination then What are the matters around you can you name the matter of some solids, liquid, and gas.

·         Take Sand, Soil, dust of straw, dust of wood and fill them in the small box.put formula to find the volume of box.ie. V=l*b*h and measure the volume of box.

·          Divide the class into group of 5 member Provide chart paper pen and pencil along sand, wood dust. Straw dust, meter scale, and weighting machine with different size box for different group. Instruct to measure mass and volume of box filled with given different matter.

·         By getting Various responses from students lastly conclude the theme that Density depends upon mass and volume. and Density directly proportional to mass and inversely proportional to

Students listen carefully and they will tell the asked questions.

Q.    To be matter what things to be needed?

Is weight of different matter same in equal volume of box?

What are the factors affecting the density of matter.

Recapitulation:

Q.1 Define matter with daily life examples.

Q.2. Which two factors does density of matter depends?

Q,3 What is density ? How it is releated to the compactness of the matter?

Homework

Q. Give two life examples to show that density of matter depends on mass and volume of matter?
