ADDIE MODEL

It is the model used by training developers and instruction designers to create instructions. it represents the guidelines for effective training and performance support tools in five different ways. The five phases provide the development of training courses in a systematic and cost effective manner. The 5 phases are A for analyze, D for design, another D for develop, I for implement and E for evaluate. This can be explained one by one as follows:

Analyse: In this phase instructional goals, objectives and targeted outcomes are established and repetition and duplication of knowledge is omitted after that a training plan with training needs analysis should be completed for the design phase.

Design: on this phase it basically considered methods of delivery, time duration of activities, it also includes what sorts of contents or elements to be included in the instructions and what sorts of exercises and activities to be included. While designing instructions media , visuals, assessment type and tools also considered.

Develop: In this phase course content is developed according to the instruction design plan. All needed assets such as audio video aids should be created to making learning effective. Programmers should integrate and develops the technologies to make the design plan effective.

Implement: It is the delivery phase of ADDIE model. it comes after developing the instructional design and development. Here learnings services are delivered to the learners. To implement the instructional design competent trainers should be in the part of implementation.

Evaluate: This is the last phase of ADDIE model here in this model evaluation is done whether the learning objectives were or not. It establishes the required modification to increase the efficiency and success rate of learning program. For this a feedback mechanism should be there to ensure that the course has met the learning needs of students.
